Discovery project done at Geniology, an agency based in Dubai for Al Futtaim Academy, an app and web-app that provides courses that helps enhancing the work-readiness and digital capabilities of Emirati talent.
UI DESIGN & ART DIRECTION
I've freelanced with MR//McCann on several projects, mainly working on Pitches. The success rate was quite good winning 3 out of 5 and setting the direction for the subsequent projects
MERZ
This pitch was for Merz, a company working on the healthcare field. Living life with Spasticity is a an educational platform that helps to inform and motivate stroke stroke survivors of the illness.
HYUNDAI
Another pitch that I've really enjoyed doing was for Hyundai.de for the future launch of their Ioniq 5 N electric car. This project was fun as we were able to explore some upcoming technology like ChatGPT where the idea was to use it's API as a Virtual Assistant, helping users navigate through the website, configure their dream car and book test-drives.
Al Arabiya is a News Channel based in Dubai. The project consisted on re-designing their digital presence, redefining the Visual Language and enhancing the User Experience throughout it's platform
The most challenging part of the project was bringing together different parts of the platform that until now were working on their own visually and not consistent in terms of User Experience, like the Sports section and the VOD platform.
My role consisted on helping define the Visual Language throughout the entire platform as a whole but also focus 70% of my time tackling specific sections e.g Video-on-Demand.
Arbitrum is Rollup technology that can scale any Ethereum contract. It's the ideal scaling solution for many DeFi apps and any application which is open to public participation.
I've had the opportunity to participate on this project led by DeepWork, which as an agency that base their projects on Hypersprints, so it was an intense but quite rewarding 2 weeks of work, having multiples workshops with the client to define key features, user journeys and visual direction, testing it with real users at the end of each week, gathering feedback and delivering quick, with design guidelines and a clear direction that the client can take it to it's in house team and continue the work.
After 2 months at AKQA London I was invited to be part of a really nice project at AKQA Gothenburg working for their biggest client in Sweden, Volvo. I was inserted on the PET (Product Experimentation Team) where (as by name) we experimented stuff. Each experiment aims to solve problems and improve the User Experience on VolvoCars.com. The experiment aimsto lead to a more user friendly, informative and emotional journey for the user.
The team was comprised with UX Designers, Developers, QA and Analytics. As the sole Visual Designer, my goal was to improve user engagement through sleek UI and Photography, having weekly meetings with Volvo’s Product Owners.
Concept project for one of my favourite places in London, The Lion & Lamb, which is a Pub in Hoxton, that during the day also functions as a Record Shop, and has several events on evenings like DJ Sets, or Gong Baths
With this project I wanted to re-imagine their Digital Presence, coming up with a new platform that has not only the Events Calendar but also a boutique Record Shop, and later an Online Magazine with interviews and news on the underground Techno Scene
Had an incredible opportunity to work on a discovery project for Mercedes-Benz. The project consisted on coming up with different ideas and approaches on how to apply wearables and smartphones to an everyday experience on Mercedes cars, connecting with the HMI, engine, soundsystem, AC and so on.
Making use of not only the current technology available like Self-driving Cars, Haptic Feedback or AI but also researching and applying future predictable ones that are currently still theories or not in the market but can be seen as an option further down the road (pun intended).
The Collective is a company whose mission is to change the way people live in cities globally creating unique co-living spaces. During the 3 months I've worked on this project I had the freedom to set the whole Creative Direction on how the brand would work digitally. I was able to modify, adapt and insert new ideas (colours, typography, animations, etc) to the existent brand style guide and create a new Digital Style Guide.
I've also led the ideation and UI development of a Beta version of a Mobile App, working alongside a UX Designer who worked closely to Stakeholders to define MVPs and come up with user journeys. I've also created a Design System to be used on future projects. I was given trust to explore my creativity and had several stakeholders meetings where I would present my work, sharing my ideas and receiving feedback.
